Hi english bunnies!
Last weeks topic was how to write a proposal for a flyer.
We all got a worksheet for that so that we know what we have to write for a proposal.
Here it is again shortly explained:
1. Introduction
- introduce the topic (briefly!! Don't bore the teacher to death!! ;) )
- name the target group (in our case the students)
- briefly state the intention of your flyer
2. Text for the flyer (Explain what you want to write and how you want to structue it!)
Remember that in our exams we will NOT draw a flyer so we have to explain what we propose to write on the flyer and how we want to structue it!
- what you are going to write on the flyer
- structure
- focus
- reasons
3. Proposal for design (Explain why you want to realize what you propose to do!)
- design
- illustrations
- paper (colour, size etc.)
- layout (where you want to place for example the illustrations etc.)
4. Arguments (Explain why your flyer would convince the target group!)
- summarize your content and layout (briefly!!) - why is it convincing
Also we discussed the difference between surveillance and vouyeurism.
We found out that surveillance is something politically motivated, whereas voyeurism is personally motivated.
Our last tasks dealt with an excerpt of the novel Blind Faith by Ben Elton.
As you all know we got the excerpt through whatsapp so you can reread it on your phone whenever you want. ;)
The tasks we got were:
1. Sum up the excerpt
2. Analyze in which way the issue of surveillance changed in the future. Find at least 3 stylistic devices that make our teacher cry.
3. Find reasons for Traffords behaviour (interprete).
So now no one of you can excuse yourself for not doing all those tasks! muhaha ;)
If you are interested in the novel you can buy it right here.
I hope you like the overview and obviously that you all read it carefully! If not I will send AJ to you!! :P
Have a wonderfull weekend you all! :D
